Managing Partner

Shoeb owns and operates stations himself. That's the whole basis of how he advises. he's ordered the loads, sat through the inspections, and eaten the cost of a bad month on his own sites before ever doing it on anyone else's.

Where he's useful

  • Reading a station's real numbers: what the P&L means once you own it
  • Environmental compliance and the regulatory side, before it becomes a problem
  • Acquisitions and sales, valued from an operator's seat rather than a spreadsheet
  • Supplier, brand, and vendor relationships built over years, not cold calls
  • The call you make when something on your site has gone properly wrong

Buying or selling

Most people looking at a station see a price and a fuel volume. Shoeb sees the things that decide whether the deal works: what the tanks are going to cost you, which contracts you're inheriting, where the inside margin is soft, and what the site is worth to the next buyer. He's spent years on the transaction side: valuations, acquisitions, sales, and he works the same way for buyers and sellers, which is to say he'll tell you when a deal isn't worth doing.

Background

Shoeb came up as a multi-site owner-operator and has worked every part of the business: the forecourt, the store, the back office, and the compliance paperwork nobody wants to touch. Those years put him on a first-name basis with operators, suppliers, brand reps, and the vendors you actually need when something breaks. He brought that network and that operating experience to WRK Fuels, where he sets the direction of the firm and stays close to client sites.

Working with Shoeb

If you're weighing whether to buy, sell, or hand off the day-to-day, start with him. The first conversation and the site visit don't cost anything.
