Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect through wrkfuels.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to be read, not to be impressive. If anything here is unclear, write to us at privacy@wrkfuels.com and we will explain it in plain terms.

This policy covers our website. It does not cover the separate services we provide under a signed management, consulting, or software agreement. Where a signed agreement says something different about confidentiality or data handling, that agreement controls for the services it covers.

1. Who we are

For the purposes of California privacy law, WRK STORES LLC is the business that determines why and how information collected through this website is processed.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us

When you submit our inquiry form, you choose what to send. The form asks for:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• The type of business you operate
• The number of locations you operate
• Your city and state
• Which service you are interested in
• A free-text message describing your situation

The free-text field is open, so please use judgment. Do not send payment card numbers, bank account details, Social Security numbers, employee medical or disciplinary records, or other sensitive information through the website form. If you need to share something sensitive, contact us and we will arrange a more appropriate channel.

If you email us directly, we receive whatever you put in that email.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tool receive standard technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of those visits.

We do not currently run a third-party analytics tool. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no visitor profiling. The only automatic collection is the ordinary request logging our host performs to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.

If we add an analytics tool later, we will name it here and update the effective date before it goes live.

2.3 Information we do not collect on this website

We do not collect payment information on wrkfuels.com. Subscription checkout is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own infrastructure. Your card details go to Stripe and never pass through our servers. See Section 4.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact privacy@wrkfuels.com and we will delete it.

3. Why we use it

We use the information described above to:

• Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions
• Prepare a proposal or scope of work if you ask for one
• Provide, bill for, and support the services you buy from us
• Keep records of what was agreed and when
• Operate, secure, and improve the website
• Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
• Send you service messages about your account, billing, or a change to these terms

We do not sell your information. See Section 7 for what that means under California law.

If we ever want to use your contact details for marketing that is unrelated to your inquiry, we will ask you first, and you can withdraw that permission at any time.

4. Third parties that process information for us

We keep the number of third parties small and name them here so you can review their practices directly.

Two of these deserve a specific note.

Stripe. When you subscribe, you are transacting with Stripe's checkout. Stripe collects and stores your payment details under its own privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy. We receive confirmation of the subscription and limited billing details, such as the last four digits of the card and the billing name, but not the full card number.

Instagram. Our homepage embeds content from Instagram. When that embed loads, Meta may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and may receive your IP address and the fact that you visited our page, whether or not you have an Instagram account and whether or not you click anything. This happens under Meta's own policies, not ours. Meta may use that data for its own purposes, which can include advertising. If this concerns you, use your browser's tracking protection or content blocking, which will prevent the embed from loading without breaking the rest of the page.

We may also disclose information to our accountants, attorneys, and insurers, and to a buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged. We will disclose information where the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order.

5. Cookies and tracking

Our own website does not set advertising cookies and does not run retargeting pixels.

Cookies and similar technologies may still be set on your browser by:

• Our host, for security and abuse prevention
• Stripe, for checkout security and fraud prevention
• Instagram, when the homepage embed loads

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking third-party cookies will not prevent you from reading the site or submitting the inquiry form, though it may stop the Instagram embed from displaying.

Our website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, as there is no common standard for how sites should interpret them. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sharing where California law requires it. See Section 7.

We keep information longer where we are required to by law, or where it is needed for an actual or reasonably anticipated legal claim.

7. Your California privacy rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents specific rights. Since January 1, 2023, these rights apply to business contacts as well as to individual consumers, so they may cover you even though our services are business-to-business.

These rights apply to us to the extent we meet the law's thresholds for a covered business. We honor the requests below regardless of whether those thresholds are met, because we would rather answer than argue about it.

Your rights

• Know. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
• Delete. Request that we delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions such as records we must keep for tax, legal, or security reasons.
• Correct. Request that we fix personal information about you that is inaccurate.
• Opt out of sale or sharing. See below.
• Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined in the CPRA, so this right has nothing to act on.
• No retaliation. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

Categories we collect

In the language the statute uses, we collect:

• Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, IP address
• Commercial information: the services you inquired about or purchased
• Internet activity: pages viewed, referring site, browser and device information
• Geolocation data: approximate location, at city level, derived from IP address, plus the city and state you type into the form
• Professional or employment-related information: your business type and number of locations

We collect these from you directly, and automatically from your device when you browse the site. We use them for the purposes in Section 3 and disclose them to the parties in Section 4.

Sale and sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. We never have.

California defines "sharing" broadly enough that it can include disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising, even with no money involved. The Instagram embed on our homepage may result in Meta receiving information about your visit for its own advertising purposes. Out of caution, we treat that as sharing, and you may opt out.

To opt out, do any of the following:

1. Email privacy@wrkfuels.com with the subject line "Do Not Share My Personal Information"
2. Enable Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it, which we will treat as a valid opt-out signal
3. Use browser tracking protection or a content blocker, which prevents the embed from loading

We do not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16.

How to make a request

Email privacy@wrkfuels.com or write to the mailing address in Section 1. Tell us which right you are exercising.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and may take up to another 45 days.

We will need to verify who you are before we act, usually by matching the email address you contact us from against our records, or by asking you to confirm details of a prior inquiry. We will not ask for more information than we need to do this.

An authorized agent may act for you with written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you directly to confirm.

8. If you are outside the United States

We operate in the United States, and information you send us is stored and processed here. United States privacy law differs from the law in other countries and may offer fewer protections.

We do not currently target the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and this policy does not attempt to describe rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR. If you are in one of those regions and want to know how we handle your information, write to privacy@wrkfuels.com and we will respond directly.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections to the website, access controls on our systems, and limiting access to staff who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by California Civil Code section 1798.82 and any other applicable law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and post the revised version here.

If we make a material change, such as collecting a new category of information or using it for a materially different purpose, we will provide clearer notice, which may include emailing customers or posting a notice on the homepage. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
